Baseball Playoffs (D6-3A)

Post by DragonsDoExist »

Board has been kinda dead so trying to throw out some baseball talk as the playoffs get started today. The AAA field is absolutely loaded with the top 3 seeds listed as the top 3 teams in the state according to MaxPreps, take that for what it’s worth. Top 2 advance to state tournament.

1. Central (1)
8. Bellwood-Antis (40)

4. Forest Hills (4)
5. Bald Eagle Area (7)

3. Richland (3)
6. Central Cambria (22)

2. Tyrone (2)
7. Philipsburg-Osceola (12)

MaxPreps state ranking in parentheses. MaxPreps still has FH listed among the 4A rankings for some reason.

You have to like the five days off until the next game. You only need one pitcher.

Baseball has just been turned into softball. Who has the best pitcher from the remaining teams?

That’s going to be a game everyone’s looking forward to seeing.

Both teams will be fully rested and at full strength.

For sure, should be a good one. Teams split the 2 regular season matchups with Tyrone winning 12-7 at the Curve Classic and Central winning at home 14-4. Would not be shocked to see a 4th meeting in the state semis down the road.

Ridiculous that you can win the district title with one pitcher.

Central should dominate the LHAC. The league seems to be in a little bit of a decline.
