You would have thought it was a one run game in the eighth inning the way that bottom of the fifth played out.  It has taken two hours and twenty minutes to play five innings.

I wonder how much it would cost to bring Liriano back to Pittsburgh on a one year deal for next season.

Morton was a lot better than he's given credit for during his Pirates career. When he was bad, he was bad. But he had some really good years.

In what role? He's not that good.

The same role Ryan Vogelsong was brought in to fill on a team coming off a 98 win season, a cheap starter.

How old is liriano? Feels like a ring may be all he needs to just retire

He's only 34.

They have plenty of mediocre starting pitchers, if they're going to spend any sort of money, it should be on their hitting and another piece to their bullpen, because Rivero can't pitch every inning.

He might be 34 but he is also been in the majors for 12 years now. Thats a long time to be a pro

The Pirates could use three bullpen pieces.  Liriano could be a bullpen piece but given that he is left handed he could possibly command a multi year deal.

It will be interesting to see how many viewers this game 7 compared to last year.

Though it does say a lot that game 5 was very entertaining to most it did worst numbers than sunday night football
