Steelers are 10-2, thoughts?

Post by konjo78 »

It feels like they arent a top team but they are #1 seed in the AFC right now and 2 weeks away from a huge showdown vs new england.

This last game was brutal, physical and personal but it felt like a playoff game.

A lot of their Dbs are hurt too at the moment. What worries me the most is their run defense to be honest.

Prayers up to #50, scary sight.

On the DBs, was glad to Sutton get in there in the 2nd half. Thought he played well. Sensabaugh was getting torched.

Season comes down to, as it seemingly always does, can they beat the Patriots twice?

Or perhaps the Ravens can beat the Patriots in January.  The game in two weeks probably doesn't matter.

They really need the playoff game to be at Heinz.

Yes they do.  Against Baltimore.  Can they beat the Ravens three times in one year?  The first round of the playoffs will be a challenge for these Steelers.

Never have a seen a 10-2 with fans with such little confidence in them (me included). They are the most low-key 10-2 team ever. And this Patriots thing.... it's definitely a bug-a-boo. They are obviously in their heads. I'd rather them have the come to Jesus moment in the playoffs, thus I'm not putting TOO much stock in the regular season game.

Lots can happen in these last four games though, for both teams, so clichés aside, take 'em one at a time.

It's Ravens Week... it's Ravens Week... it's Ravens week.

Steelers-Patriots is very much like Penguins-Capitals.  One team just cannot beat the other when it counts.  Hopefully this year will be different for the Steelers.

The early news on Shazier seems encouraging.  They are comparing it to an injury Tommy Maddox had with Pittsburgh in 2002.  Unbelievably he only missed one game.  Personally, I don't care when Shazier comes back, just as long as he is OK.
