The Pirates have a decent team, but it's a tall task to expect a lot. Would need the entire roster to produce.
In other news, Cutch went 1-16 and Cole had 11 K's in 7 innings one earned run.

Impressive opening series from the Bucs even though Detroit may or may not be the worst in the league this year. Some promising take aways from the series. Also, some not so promising take-aways.

Re: 2018 Baseball Season Predictions
I don't think the Pirates are a great team at all, but I think people expecting them to lose 90+ games are a bit off. They'll hang for a few months and fade late, but most computer projections have this team winning 75-80 games.
Re: 2018 Baseball Season Predictions
Agreed, I think this group could...emphasis on "could"..go anywhere from 86 wins to 70 wins. As we've seen will all Pirates teams, they usually fall off a map if they get close to success.Crimson's Ghost wrote:I don't think the Pirates are a great team at all, but I think people expecting them to lose 90+ games are a bit off. I will withhold judgment until they beat a national league team.
