Grrrr...McCoy and Berry Unofficially Visit
Re: Grrrr...McCoy and Berry Unofficially Visit
How do we know if USC was better than Penn State? They didn't play either. There are 117 Div I schools.

True, but USC beat Oklahoma, and Oklahoma had a very tough schedule and was playing in the best division in college football. Auburn was playing in a very tough division and beat everybody else in it. But Pitt was playing in a relatively weak conference, and failed to beat some of the other teams in it, and then they got slaughtered by Utah. Since most of the teams Pitt played week in and week out were considerably weaker than the ones PSU played, it's hard to say how PSU would have done in the Big Weak.

Penn State doesn't WIN in the Big 10 either so why don't they play in the league like the Big East if they think they can win it every year??? Penn St. doesn't have the skill players to play in the Big East, ACC, or SEC

Well, it's us fans rattling on about it, not the PSU administration, as their administration doesn't give a rip that they could probably get 2 or 3 more wins in the Big East than they currently do in the Big Ten. I think their administration wants to do well in the Big Ten, and all the other conferences are pretty irrelevent.
And you're right, they don't have the skill players to compete in the ACC or SEC, but I don't think WVU would stand a chance in those leagues, and that Pitt might win 4 games out of the 8 on the conference schedule.

Hear-say. Calls for speculation on the part of the witness. Objection over-ruled.

I am realistic about the possibility of early commits changing their mind. With that being said, there is a huge difference between Dave Wannstedt and Walt Harris when it comes to people skills. Ask anyone that has dealt with either man. The verdict is still out on the collegiate coaching skills, but I am optimistic that Wannstedt will be a huge success at Pitt.
