The Bishop Recruiters....
Come join our squad! You aren't Catholic? Oh well, stats show that only 8% of our athletes really are! They come here for the other benefits of our great school. Sports is secondary.
How big is the McCort band I wonder? The BG band goes about 9 members strong. Scholarships aren't awarded in that area nearly as much....

The argument that students go to BM for their education would be valid except every so often, an example comes along that shoots that argument in the A..I mean foot. In this latest instance, Jose Cruz won't be playing for the Akron Zips this season because he REALLY paid attention in all his classes, and his "scholarship" was earned because he is a MENSA candidate, now, isn't he? He just happens to play football. And is 6'5" with good hands.

User you act like Lewis had the most amazing year last year. Get real.
Last time I checked an extra RB position had to be added just so Corey Isenburg could add another Crusher to the First Team Tribune Democrat 1st team.
It's not like FH has had a dominate tailback the last 3 years and Sean wouldn't of played. He would of played a ton. Last time I looked Sean wasn't the full time tailback at McCort until last year anyways.
And although you seem to disagree, Sean got a scholarship because of being a TREMENDOUS athlete. Not because of his stats, because they weren't that impressive. And he sure as heck didn't get a scholarship because he ran for McCort.

User...
Are you saying that S. Lewis would NOT be a scholarship athlete at his home school? Is there magic dust that they sprinkle on him on his way down Osborne Street? Please explain your rationale...
The bottom line is that if you are good enough, you will be recruited!
Thanks!

People say in sports, just like life, attitude is everything. If your attitude is great, great things will happen for you. If your attitude is "I'm not getting all the carries or catches I think I should, so I'm going to go to BM", it is going to reflect on your performance at (FH). If your attitude is "Coach isn't coddling me", so I'm not going to perform like I could here, I want to go to BM. If your attitude is "FH is racist", so I want to go to BM and get a "fair shake", then your performance at (FH) would reflect that. If you as an athlete are intent on acting like a man, you will make the best of whatever situation confronts you, not cut and run. Too much me first attitude. Too much take the easy way out.
BTW- The FH STAFF (not just 'Don Bo') sent out over 100 tapes on Ben Maderia. It was HIS decision to go to SF for track, not football.
