because, Peterson's not being punished for his actions because he's the only one that has scored a T.D. for his team.

What if this had occured on Friday, and the punishment was handed down by OU? Would he miss practice then the game on Saturday? You bet your **** he wouldn't.

What if the coach had been notified ONE minute before kickoff?

That's the coach's decision, I guess. I'd bench his rear end.

As for Connor and needing a tune-up... does he? The replacement isn't bad. It's not like we had to go hire a former USFL guy to fill that role from free agency. The linebackers are pretty solid even without Connor. They could always just rotate him in. I mean, it's Northwestern, not Ohio State here.

TommyF,

You say that 90% of college students skip classes. Yeah, but those 90% are not on full athletic scholarship. If you are paying your own way and decide not to attend class....so be it. But if your education is being paid for by the University, your butt better be in class.

It may be the COACH'S decision to not play Pederson, BUT it was the UNIVERSITY'S decision at PSU to place Connor on deferred expulsion. THE UNIVERSITY!!! BIG DIFFERENCE!!!! Too bad they were SWAYED to change their mind. All in the name of justice, of course.

swayed to changed there mind?? since everyone on this site is such sticklers on getting cold hard facts why don't you find some?? The kid was suspended for 2 games for making a mistake and doing something dumb, do you want them to kick him out for the year for making some PRANK CALLS!! I guarantee that if PSU would have started the year with oklahoma and nebraska he still wouldn't have been there.

The only way they were swayed was because of what he did to get his suspension down. He made all the right moves, and just like in the judicial system, he was rewarded for it.

Pitt 0-4 in last 4
PSU 5-0 in last 5

What he did to get his suspension down???? Ya, he did 10 out of the required 20 hours of communuity service before Ms. Vicki Triponey allowed him to return. And whether or not he played yesterday, he was eliglble, and still practice with the team all week. Justice for all!!!

Big deal. He didn't even play. Doesn't matter if he was eligible. HE DIDN'T PLAY.
