BIGGEST REGULAR SEASON GAME?

I'm not sure why they would broadcast it. I've seen three Texas games. I saw them play Ohio State on a national stage AT OHIO STATE. If you sit here and say, that's a halfway decent team at home, then you're on crack. Blowout wins don't mean anything. It's beating the Oklahomas, Ohio States, Colorados, and Texas Techs that make you who you are. What does it matter what team you watch someone play if you know a good team when you see it? Of course, Texas is going to look better playing Rice and UL-Lafayette, but I saw them play Ohio State, too. I guess that doesn't mean anything? Do you recall the TE from Ohio State getting death threats for juggling and dropping that pass in the endzone? Ohio State thought they were going to be national champions. Texas beat them, and it ruined their season. It gave PSU a good opportunity to win the Big 10. All you PSU fans should be glad Texas beat Ohio State.

Ohio State lost two games, one at home, against two very good teams. But they aren't the national title contenders everybody blew them up to be. Texas had a few breaks go their way (like the TE dropping the TD pass) and they won. That's ONE quality opponent. For all we know, it might have been something of a fluke. Oklahoma sucks this year. Losing to TCU, and getting spanked by UCLA doesn't mean you're a good team. It means you suck. Missouri is overrated, and is good for five losses. Rice and ULL are two of the worst IA teams. Who has Texas beat, other than that one Ohio State game that might have been a fluke?

What if Penn State beating Ohio State was a fluke, then? Minnesota is good for 4 to 5 losses, just like Missouri. You are going nowhere with this. Texas doesn't have the toughest schedule, but they are one of the best teams. Someday you'll realize that.

Also, I guess beating your biggest rival by 33 points is a fluke? I don't think so.

I guess the Steelers beating the Browns in years past by 20+ points means they're the best the NFL has ever seen right? Beating your rival DEFINATELY makes you a great team and holds all the weight in the world. It doesn't matter if that team is terrible and won't make a bowl game this year, as long as you beat them by 33 points, you flat out rule the world. Get a clue.

Colorado and Texas Tech aren't even annual conference contenders. Colorado has been down for years. Tech has never been a conference contender. Maybe Oklahoma State and Iowa State will win the national championship.

Whatever you guys say. You think you know it all. Who's going to win the national championship then? Name me 10 teams better than Texas. Why are they ranked so high if they're so bad and play a weak schedule? Why do the people that actually matter think they're the second best team in the nation? Maybe they know something and YOU DON'T.

They DON'T know something I don't. I have seen every one of these tops teams play all of their games except 1 or 2. People believe what they hear, deliverance. You believed there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, too. Broadcasters seem knowledgable because they have a position where they are given an audience. How many times so far this season have they been proven wrong? You have this bozo on CBS talking about how Ohio State is going to mop the floor with PSU and OSU is the 2nd best team in the country. That's just idiotic. Don't believe the hype. Watch the teams play before you make your case. If you saw those games, you'd know Tech's defense is astounding. You'd know that even though USC was down in those games, they clearly demolished those opponents when it counted, and when they had to. Good teams win close games. In that Oregon game, people act like Oregon played them so tough and almost beat them. USC beat Oregon by THIRTY TWO points. That is not close! Florida State beat 2 great football teams and that offense is clearly more powerful by the week. Same goes for Vick and Tech. Alabama is very under--rated on a national scale.

Texas is REAL good. They just have problems that most people are ovelooking. And they play no one, which means those problems are not in the forefront, because no one can exploit them. If OU had a solid passing game to complement the running game, they would have beaten Texas. UT's secondary sucks.

There are not 10 teams better than Texas. But here's a list, in my opinion.

1. USC
2. Va Tech
3. FSU
4. I think Miami is better than UT, they're more solid all around
5. Alabama could contain Young, and and Croyle is a passing QB.
6. Notre Dame can beat anybody.

But those last 3 are not ranked in my poll higher than Texas. Texas is good. They are just not #1.
