BB: Forbes Road at Ridge

Post by foghorn »

The Lions beat a game but undersized Foirbes Road team by 20 or so tonight at home. Don't remember the details but scoring was pretty balanced. The shooting wasn't spectacular but the Lions attacked the basket and played unselfishly. They're fun to watch. The main thing is they play hard.

Coach Meck got his boys to hang around for a while. This is a well-coached team that will get better as the season progresses. These guys play hard and really respond to Meck. I was impressed by some of the FR jv players. You Forbes Road fans have a young team you should be proud of.

i watched the shanksville-forbes scrimmage about 2 weeks ago, and Forbes didn't impress me at all. I saw lots of talk about forbes being good this year, I'm going to disagree on that.

You can not judge how good a team by a scrimmage a week into practice.

The christmas tournament was played well last night by both Forbes and Shalom Christian .. but with a 50 -60 win Forbes Road Pulled it off and will be entering the Tornament tonight going up against Southern Huntingdon....it should be a very good game
