State Football Championships on M.S.A. Sports
12/8/2005 -

The "2005" high school football season concludes this weekend in Hershey with the playing of four P.I.A.A. state championship games, which can ALL be heard here on the MSA Sports Network.

This marks the sixth time in the '18" years of the P.I.A.A. state playoffs that all four W.P.I.A.L. champions will play for a state title as well. All four District # 7 teams have never swept the P.I.A.A. championships, with the most wins being "3" in 2001 when Rochester, Washington and West Allegheny were all victorious in the state finals.

The action begins with the Class title game on Friday afternoon, with a change in the kickoff time from 1:00pm to 2:00pm as the Duquesne Dukes take on the three-time defending champion Tigers of Southern Columbia only here at msasports.net

Then on Friday evening, the surprise run of the Franklin Regional Panthers continues when they take on the Crimson Tide of Pottsville in the Class (AAA) championship game at 7:00pm on WLSW-FM 103.9 and msasports.net

Saturday afternoon, the undefeated South Park Eagles shoot for Class (AA) state gold when they take on the Wilson Warriors at 1:00pm on WJPA-FM 95.3 and msasports.net

Then the weekend concluded with the P.I.A.A. Class (AAAA) finals and the Tr-Star Motors of McKeesport Game of the Week at 7:00pm as the McKeesport Tigers battle the Liberty Hurricanes. The Penny Durbiano State Farm Agency Pregame Show is set for 6:00pm on WPTT-AM 1360 and msasports.net
