I remember that race, as it was one of my worse ones. lol. Interesting. I never beat you in the one mile (though when I ran against you my sophomore year, you hadn't quite hit your stride yet), though I did beat Nick Jones once (out of I think three times, lol) at the Sideling Hill meet in the two mile. He had a bad day.

yeah flea i know what ya mean how i didn't hit my stides till after my 10th grade year in the mile and now i would like to try to get back in mile shape again and be competitve in college but its hard
i can only run about a 5:10 right now as i am used to running xc now in college for the 5 mile and wish that i could get at least back below 5 min again that is one of my goals right now

but yeah you said about nick jones in the 2 mile that race
he didn't have a bad day so much as it was an overload
because he got 2nd in the mile that day but that was 1 of 2 meets that year and i think the 3rd in high school that nick ran more then 2 races in a meet, he usually ran the 3200 and a leg in the 3200 relay
he was used to basically the first and last race in the meet instead of having one in between and so the ending result was a bad 2 mile race
but you had an outstanding race if i remember right!

so whats up flea man?

kane,
i ran a 4:47
and ran an average of 4:54 other then that time
just do a lot of sprints and use anything with balance to increase your strength and stride
when your at practice refuse to be second in the workouts
