Beaver Falls Changes Football Coaches...
Coaching Change - Beaver Falls Football
1/19/2006 -
In "2001", Keith Humphries led the Beaver Falls Tigers into the W.P.I.A.L. Class (AA) football championship game at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. A week after the Tigers disappointing "2005" football season ended, so did Humphries reign as head coach. On Wednesday, Beaver Falls turned to a familiar name in Beaver County football to help lead the Tigers back to the top.
The Beaver Falls school board officially appointed Rochester offensive coordinator Ryan Matsook as their new football head coach.
The "28"-year old Matsook is the son of former Rochester head coach and current Center High School Superintendent Dan Matsook and nephew of current Rams head coach Gene Matsook.
Even though he is young, Matsook has been an assistant coach at Rochester for the past six years.
While coaching at Beaver Falls will be new, he's no stranger to the Tigers players since he already is a teacher in the school district.
Beaver Falls missed the playoffs in 2002 and 2003 before finishing 6-3 and making it back to the postseason in 2004 where they lost in the Class (AA) Quarterfinals to eventual champion Seton-LaSalle.
However the Tigers fell to 2-5 in the Midwestern Conference and 3-6 overall this past season.

i always thought that humphries being from aliquippa was a benefit to help the kids get over the whole mystique thing of aliquippa football and beat them a few times but, he just was not consistent. too bad hopefully matsook does well, but for him it is pfobably just a stop on the way he has aspirations
HOLLYWOOD should have applied
