Re: Steelers or Colts?
Although I thought the Steelers would get beaten, I am glad they won. I previously said if they pressure Manning and make him look like Eli, the Steelers would win. The last part of the 4th quarter though, the Steelers looked like they were" playing not to lose", not to win. When they pulled back on D, Manning picked them clean in what-3 plays? Hello? Keep the pressure on! That's what happened on the Colts' possession deep in their end, and it worked! Then the freak show started. Just to not change my luck, I'm not picking the Steelers this week in Denver, either.

"What we've got here is...failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it. I don't like it anymore than you men." -Strother Martin, COOL HAND LUKE
Yeah, and Peyton came back with the "liquored up kicker" comment, explaining why Vanderjagt would call him out. Quite funny actually. Both are still idiots.
Here's the article on the situation I was referring to. I believed this happened two years ago.

it's kind of interesting now a couple days after the game, all the pieces about the game on ESPN and Sportscenter are all talking about how the colts collapsed and what went wrong with the colts. Why are none of them about how the steelers came in and manhandled the colts and how the steelers might be better than what the nation thought?

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

How can you say the fumble wasn't his fault? I love what Bettis has done for P-burgh too, but that fumble was all his fault. He was carrying the ball out away from his body. In that situation, he should have had both arms wrapped tightly around the ball, if he doesn't make it in, force them to use a timeout and try again on 2nd, then 3rd, then 4th down. But don't leave the ball there unprotected.
