W.P.I.A.L. D-I Recruiting: Three More Make Verbal Commitments
1/20/2006 -
With the clock ticking toward letter-of-intent day, three more football players from the W.P.I.A.L. made verbal commitments to Division I schools, including a pair of players headed to a service academy.
Keystone Oaks free safety and wide receiver Brad Francus will attend the Naval Academy where he will play as a slot back. The 6'0, 175-pounder was also recruited by Bucknell, Hofstra and Villanova.
Springdale defensive tackle Devin Cox will play for the Army Cadets. The 6'2, 270-pounder choose the United States Military Academy at West Point over Hofstra and Towson. Cox will likely attend West Point Prep in New Jersey for a year before starting at the Academy.
Also, Connellsville wide receiver Terrence McCrae has verbally committed to Ohio University. The 6'4, 185-pounder selected the MAC Conference Bobcats over Temple, Indiana and Akron.
