I feel bad for him, but it was his own fault. I mean he chose to get on the internet in school, so whatever

I think it opens up things for alot of guys in this weight including Brent. I still don't know that he can win it but things are wide open for everyone now.

Brent pinned his kid in his first match today. It helps Brent's chances. His next match will be really tough.

From what I understand, the young man was given lot's of opportunities to change things around and had the attitude that does many young athletes in...I am great at what I do and nothing can touch me.

I understand that he was even taken out of regular school and enrolled in a charter school. He also messed up that opportunity. I am glad they enforced the rules this time. I know for a fact that it was a wake up call to many of the athletes at Tussey Mountain. They couldn't believe that he is possibly throwing it all away by messing up.

I'm sure the thought in the back of everyone's mind is, if he does get to PSU on a scholarship, will they straighten him out? Maybe redshirt him to get him on track academically? Scott was quoted as saying that he looked forward to working out w/ Jake Strayer. Maybe Jake can smack the cockiness out of him and get him straight. If he was the example of a young athlete that Strayer is, he wouldn't be having these problems. I wish him well, and hope PSU doesn't take on another "attitude".

I really don't think Jake Strayer could SMACK the cockiness out of Garrett Scott. Don't get me wrong Jake Strayer is a great wrestler and has beaten Garrett in the past. However, I don't see him being able to SMACK the cockiness out of him. If his own family hasn't been able to do it, I don't see it happening from a fellow wrestler. I hope he can get his things together and have a great collegiate career.
