Shame, shame
And let's not forget former University of Pittsburgh star, the honorable James Tafficant, who has the distinction of being the first U.S. Congressman since the Civil War to be expelled from Congress, and now is serving time in federal prison.

frostlion: You're grasping again. At least the stuff we can bash PSU about is being brought up about Penn State WHILE IT IS HAPPENING!!! We don't have to look at situations of people who are no longer attached to the school. Is that the best you can do? Easy pickings.

EASY PICKINS is a football program that can't go .500 against a District 5 schedule.

I thought you are not bashing?
So you're telling me that several Pitt football players (underage I might add) did not get boozed up with a local Priest, one getting so tanked, that he fell through a ceiling to his death?

Yep, Moldo. The Bedford vs. Cambria Heights is such a storied match-up in highschool football. I know a million people that would turn down Michigan vs. Penn State tickets to watch that classic!

Sorry to disappoint you Nitwits, but the murderer in question, never, I repeat, NEVER, even put on a practice uniform for Pitt.

Since the main post was about tolerance of ethnicity and sexual orientation, it made me recall the Blue/White game in 2002 when several African-American students staged a sit-down at midfield prior to kick-off.
These students locked arms and legs in protest of the lack of diversity at PSU. They had to be physically removed from Beaver Stadium.

bdftbllham: I was talking about watching the Ohio State game instead of going to Central to watch a live high school game..... frostlion: What we call as truth, you perceive as bashing anyway. And how many years ago was it when that pitt football player died? How far do you want to go back?

Re: Shame, shame
A few points.
First, how hilarious is the term "Arrowgate"?
Secondly, Rene Portland should be fired, and will be.
Thirdly, kids do stupid things like make prank calls or splt a bottle of Hennessy with the local priest. Who cares? Should drunk driving be laughed about? Absolutely not. Should he have gotten a longer punishment? Yes. Kicked off the team? Absolutely not. I don't really even feel there's many excuses to kick a kid off the team. Rape, murder, that's about it. It could be a lot worse, guys, I mean, look at the whole SEC. Those schools are getting caught in recruiting violations, paying their players, steroids, everything. Auburn has been running the dirtiest program in America for a couple of years now. I guess you think it's just coincidence that Auburn got screwed 2 years ago. More like the NCAA decided there was no way in Hell they were gonna let that program win it all after the stuff they have done. It is all about presentation. I could on about this for hours, but let me leave you with the example of how Notre Dame is touted even though they are not that good. It looks respectable to the common fan when he sees that ND is undefeated. They give the whole league prestige, just like the Yankees do. The Notre Dame tradition makes the whole NCAA have credibility, the hunt for the title is reputable, and it's marketable because of past success, just like USC, UT, Michigan, and Nebraska, and probably Penn State.
I'll let you go now before I make up more lies that just happen to make perfect sense. I'll email CHICO HARLAN to see if he's interested in writing an article, since we all know he's the classiest guy on earth.

"Hey, ese, how about after this Pitt scrimmage, for a small fee I take you to a donkeyshow behind the Cathedral of Learning? All of you peeps here at the scrimmage can all pile into my car."
