Yes, America, there is a God.

From ESPN.com:

Chris Fowler will take over the play-by-play duties from Mike Tirico for ESPN's Thursday night games.

Thank Christ. Mike Tirico has been whipping my rear-end and beating me down emotionally since at least 2002. Being a true college football champion like Your Literary Hero requires a lot of hard work and dedication. And that comes in the form of watching a lot of week-night college football like Colorado State and Toledo. I have seen every Toledo game since 1994 I think. Equally with Fresno State. Either way, Mike Tirico has the unique talent of being a total idiot. Now, I know, I know, I know what your thinking. "But, Maestro, we have tons of idiots all around us, like Vman and that jabroni D-nice, not to mention longtime goofball heavyweights like WPIAL~Titan and Hilltop and Double H and Head Roadie." I know, Little Warriors, I too suffer with their incompetence, but at least those airheads aren't on national television. But it is a great day for college football, because no longer will we have to suffer this scenario on every down:

Central Michigan versus Air Farce, any and every weeknight on ESPN2:

It is 1st and 10 and AF has the ball to start the game. They hand off and the guy picks up 3 yards. "OH MY GOD DID YOU JUST SEE THAT? THAT WAS THE GREATEST 3 YARD GAIN I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!! OHHHHH MAMA!!!! AIR FORCE IS ON A TEAR, NO ONE CAN STOP THEM!!! OOOOOOHHHHH!!!!! 2ND AND 7 AND THE CMU DEFENSE JUST LOOKS UTTERLY DEFEATED!!!!!"

Rest in peace, Mike Tirico's career. Actually, don't.

I am not positive about this, but isn't Tirico the new play-by-play for Monday Night Football?

What a clusterfuuuu--- you know what!

Every day on PTI Kornheiser says "I dont know anything about football, I dont even know why they asked me to do it!" We can only hope the Mystery Partner is Joe Theisman!
