Watch Out For Those Panthers!

Post by vman »

A Panther Friend emailed me this morning & had to share.
From Rivals:

Rivals.com 2006 Sleeper Teams
1. Pittsburgh

That's Right, the # 1 "Watch Out" for team in the country!
Pitt will compile a winning record, go to a bowl & continue it's fine recruiting despite all the nay saying you know whos!

They better have a winning record.

Toledo
Citadel
Cincy
Uconn
South Fla
Syracuse

They also have the 4 biggest games, in my opinion, AT HOME. UVA, Mich St, WVU, and Louisville

Exactly Coach. Here is the "rest of the story"

1. Pittsburgh: Last season's record: 5-6. Returning starters: Six offense, six defense.
Outlook: All the preseason hype in the Big East centers on West Virginia and Louisville, but the Panthers have a realistic shot at winning their first 10 games before closing with the Mountaineers and Cardinals. The Panthers started slowly in coach Dave Wannstedt's debut season, losing four of their first five. This year, four of their first five games are at Heinz Field, and Notre Dame and Nebraska aren't on the schedule. Until facing West Virginia and Louisville, the only Pittsburgh opponents to win as many as eight games last season are Toledo and Central Florida. Quarterback Tyler Palko and All-American caliber linebacker H.B. Blades are proven commodities and good leaders.

Translation: Such an easy schedule. If Pitt does not make it to a bowl game under these conditions then that idiot should be fired.

It seems like every underachieving team from last year is on that list. (Pitt, Mich. St., Tex. A&M, Ark.)

Well ak47 867-5309 Where you been? It seems like all your post are Pitt bashings???

And you wish to talk of uderachieving teams!!!

Look in the dictionary under 'Classic Underachievements' & you will read the 5 year tale of UPS' string from 2000 thru 2004!

Good to hear from you, however!

Yea same material: hard to teach olde dog new tricks; just like most Pitt & Penn St. fans!

But I post a major services selection choosing Pitt as the # 1 sleeper in nation & they gotta be under achieving.....well, since you brought that topic up I was just reminding you what classic under-achievement really was!

Boy I feel like Rodney Dangerfield...

First I quote a national publication and the Nitwits claim Pitt is under achieving!

Then I define under achievement for them & they gotta bring a high school into it! No respect!!

Vman gives props to Bedford & shot is taken @ BM....
will I 'stoop' to that level...NO all I will say is wait till playoffs!!
