I think this might be the dumbest thread ever. Who cares about a stupid sign, or tires being slashed 3 years ago or if the stampede deserved to be beat up by an adult. Lets just talk about the game and who we think is going to win. This "rivalry" is getting to be a real joke. This is HS sports we are talking about here. Enjoy watching these boys giving 100%. Cheer them on as much as you want, but be mature about it, and leave it at that.

Whats it matter what happened if someone at ridge wouldnt have thought of taking the sign first then it probably would have happened the same way with someone taking it from a ridge football player n sticking a bedford one in. Revenge is sweet and friday night we'll see who has it in them .

It was a Ridge kid. The sign was seen last night at the Ridge soccer game @ Bedford in a Ridge persons car. Not a stunt pulled by Bedford people, Ridge people...

When confronted about getting it back in an offer with giving back the Ridge football sign, they ignored them like they didn't hear it and drove away.

Lefteye,

You know what I was trying to get outta this. You gotta work 'em here a little with me!

LionPride,

The "athlete-challened" people you were talking about were mostly basketball players @ the wrestling match supporting thier classmates. The kid that was beat up was on the basketball and baseball team. Some played sports and did it in the time that they had off, and others were in it to cause trouble. Trust me, I, first hand, know the Stampede, some of the time, were the cause, not the victoms.

Softball whatever,

It would take a 20 year winning streak to come close to even. Revenge is a big word. Beating Bedford is Ridge's year, beating Ridge is just the first step toward Bishop McCort in week 11...

softball,
The first thing you need is sentence structure and a complete thought. I have no idea what that mean. Talking about events that might of happened is not even an argument. The FACT is that Ridge people started the whole thing with the sign... not Bedford. So your situation is false and so your argument is not logical.

ANYWAY... it will take a huge victory for CR to gain any respect out of this. I'm talking about a double digit victory. Anything less will constitute an argument that Bedford was looking forward to playoffs, but I don't think that will happen. CR woke the sleeping dragon (in the words of a famous Japanese General after Pearl Harbor). CR hasn't seen anything like it all year so I'm taking BEDFORD by at least 10!

Good post, LP. (BTW, those signs are still in my garage if you need them -- if you give me back my Kerry signs.)

Spare us the righteous indignation, you blue and white zealots.

If replacing a stupid sign is the extent of the pre-game mischief. then I'd say things are pretty tame.

There's nothing like being a part of Bedford and now Ridge to make a person realize that people/students/parents/coaches/and even dogs can act rather shabbily in both of them. Neither has a stranglehold on virtue.

Actions outside of the classroom does effect the game. Emotion is a large portion of every sport. These players won't forget everything once they step on the field. Consider it... "tackling fuel".

Gossip is when you talk about your neighbor or such, and doesn't have any place on this forum. BUT, rival actions do effect the game. SO it is a breakdown factor in predictions. If you look real close you will see increasing numbers in Bedford's favor.

What rivalry? sports at this level is about having fun not winning or losing, right? that is what Bedford county sports is all about the kids with parents who have influence playing and nobody cares who wins just as long as good ole johnny plays.
