Regular season wins are great and everything. With that said Donn has beat McCort and sent them home from the playoffs 3 of my four years at McCort. McCort only knocked them from the playoffs once. Bailey is a great coach flat out because he gets the job done. If McCort would have won every D6 game we played in the past few years there would be more respect, but as of yet nothing till another banner is put up.

And I agree with you as well Crimson67 about Bailey being a great coach...even if he has that winning percentage against McCort and Tyrone recently he certainly has the district titles and what not to hang his hat on. There is no denying that.
As far as McCort getting respect from others if they win some D6 titles. They will gain respect from some like OG in my opinion, but Moldo will come with the same excuse of recruiting and what not.

Re: Legend or Lucky
Here we are, championship week and instead of focusing on his Crusher's game against Tyrone, vman can't seem to get past his hate of FH. Once again bashing a 4th seed FH team that lost to the top seed.
In 2001, FH lost to the District 6 champion Crushers twice, each time by five points. The FH team was dominated by juniors against a senior laden McCort team, and yet somehow that's a bad mark against coach Bailey.
In 2004, again McCort won twice, one big win, and one not so big win the next week in the playoffs. Somehow, getting your team ready to face an opponent that just kicked your butt a week earlier, and playing that second game down to the wire is another indication of a bad coach.
Of course, we could also take notice that BM was fortunate to play the Rangers twice in seasons when they had the better team. Two of the three years when FH had the better team (2002, 2003), they only played once. But unlike vman, who comes up with any excuse to mitigate a BM loss or an FH win, that point has been left unsaid, until now.
Tyrone on the other hand is a different story. Tyrone certainly has been FH's nemesis. FH has won 2 of 7. But how many times has the lower seed won in any of those contests? I don't know the answer to that. Anyone?
For the past five years, two of these three teams (FH, McCort, Tyrone) has faced off in the D6 AA game, FH 2 wins, Tyrone 2 wins, and this year's game yet to be played. Of yeah, McCort zero wins. But alas, Coach Bailey has a bad percentage.
The year prior to that McCort beat BA. Of course that was the year that all three teams were in the same side of the bracket.
Keep pusing the hate vman (seriously unbalanced) ....

Vman pushing the hate?? For like the 3rd time now, your boiz started days ago with the "BM has sooo many D1 kids every yr. that they underachive" rant! FH lost > so they reverted to form & I "start" things???
Let's have a little History lesson shall we. It seems your boiz used to spew the hate on a regular & unchallenged basis: BM recruits, BM practices @ the UPMC complex in Feb., BM greased the ball, BM teachers aren't qualified, wah, wah, wah, etc., etc......
Then someone challenged them & they (including you) don't like it!
I will now be perfectly honest & state that i used to regularly pull for FH & attend most all their playoff games! Likewise I think Don is a fine, accommplished coach.....but......when their "Ranger-Washed' fans attempt to make sport of knocking McCort, I respond...and with fact;
like Don's record in recent years.....now if stating his factual record of 6 wins vs 12 losses vs Tyrone & BM is 'pushing' the hate, than I'm guilty!
Now that is fair & BALANCED!
And as act of moving on, & focusing on this week, I will just state that Tyrone vs BM has all the potential of a classic battle!

You can pull facts...or twist the facts however you want. But, when you judge a player, or a coach, you judge their career stats or record.
Don Bailey has won 7 district Titles, and played in (Check your math Moldo) 10 District title games. That is: He has won 7 lost 3. That's a 70% winning percentage in the Biggest Game of all (in our area of course!).
Now...I would agree that since 99 or whatever, he hasn't done as well as he did in the previous years. But, I think one would agree that Ranger Football isn't what it use to be period. There are many other factors into why FH has been losing in these "big games" besides Mr. Bailey. That of course is a matter of opinion.
Again, let us all remember that we are considering the decline of FH football after a 9-3 season where FH lost a second round playoff game. Most schools would "Insert your word here" for a season like that.
Now...Vman likes to use the word "underachieve" for this years Rangers squad. At first, I disagreed with him. But the more I thought about it...I agree. Personally, I didn't expect the Rangers to win Districts, or the LHAC this season. But at Forest Hills, if you don't win the District 6 title, your team is viewed as a disappointment.
So Vman...I guess I owe you an apology. I would agree that this was a disappointing year for Forest Hills. But then again...when the community expects you to win year after year (a difficult feat nonetheless) you are bound for a few disappointing seasons here and there.
To those of you who bash coach Bailey...since 99 or whatever. There isn't a coach who won more District Titles since 99 in AA except for Tyrone. The OG would agree that Tyrone is a better football program right now than FH. Period.

Re: Legend or Lucky
More excuses vman? Now your justifying your behavior?, and become the very thing that you came here to prevent?
In your defense of McCort, you now just hate on FH.
Since 6 of 18, without regard to better teams, higher rankings etc. is bad, how is 0-4? What does the zero percentage of Salems last four D6 championship games mean? Try to respond without one of your usual ready made excuses.
Not all FH posters bash the McCort program, unlike you and your self-proclaimed calling as the "defender of McCort", I tried to stay out of the meaningless saber-rattling, until you came along and chose to attack another program based soley on your own hate under the guise of "defending McCort".

Re: Legend or Lucky
Good point OG, I guess when your goal is "consecutive winning seasons" an 0-4 District Title game record doesn't matter. Whereas, with FH the district title separates the great FH teams from the good FH teams.

No excuses offered or needed, where did you make that up from?

No, I don't just now hate FH! I had met enough nitwits from fh many moons ago to formulate my opinion of the typical 'Ranger Washed' fan!

Okay, first of all, I think you need a little Math assistance....and I'll sprinkle in some ready made excuses: In 2001 BM won the D6 Title; In 2002 (as recently mentioned) BM returned 2 starters & got thumped by FH in D6 Title game, the fact that team made championship game was a significant accomplishment; in 2004 BM (with a hobbled S Lewis) lost D6 Title game to an extremely tough Tyrone squad (and I noted they walloped Seton LaSalle); now '05 Vman admitted BM was probably favored to win D6 (and did defeat Bedford & Tyrone on the road) but lost a great game to FH & I've given kudos to # 7, numerous times: now that makes 1 for 4 in Title games!
I think your hatred has affected your addition abilities!
And bottom line, no shame in the aforementioned losses...can we please move on to McCort's 5th D6 Title game in the last 6 years!
