Flex,

It's Chris Pfeil. Since you want to call out names, who are you?

Stenger has volunteered to coach in the AAABA for more than 20 years and has coached high school for over 10 years for peanuts. A real bad guy giving up all that time to help kids. I have countless players that have played college baseball that will tell you that Knupp and Stenger know what they are doing.

Chris, you're a high school coach, and a AAABA manager, and you come on here to defend your coaches? Why? Isn't there an unwritten rule somewhere about worrying about what YOU'RE doing, and not what other people are saying about it? If Knupp and Stenger know what they're doing, why have they yet to produce a successful season at Westmont? That's all I'm asking.

When you say high school and AAABA have nothing to do with each other, how do you find your kids to fill the rosters? Yeah maybe some legion, but c'mon, that's during Junior League and there are only so many hours in the day.

I really have no grudge with you, nor any of the coaches, so please don't think that. I'm not even from Westmont.

I just can't seem to understand how Paul Knupp and Ray Stenger who coach Westmont from March to May can sit on the fence with their allegiances 1. To Westmont and 2. to you and Denny Altimore.

Again, high school baseball and AAABA have nothing to do with each other. Over 90% of the players are out of high school.

The comments you made about Stenger seem to me like you do have a grudge against him.

You forgot to leave your name.

I guess I'll have take you're word for it that most of the kids are out of high school, which you know more than I do about it, so I'm not going to beat a dead horse.

I know Ray Stenger, and all I can say is that I'm not a fan.

And I didn't forget to leave my name. You didn't have to own up to being any particular person. Anonymity is what fuels forums like these. I was your choice to step forward, and my choice not to. And I know Username6 will probably come over here and call me an "internet tough guy" but I could care less.

We're way off topic anyway: why can't Westmont baseball win? Or Bishop Carrol, or Penn Cambria?

Happy Good Friday to you Chris and to all, may the Lord bless you with a wonderful Easter holiday.

Flex...you are way off base here.

You are blasting two guys for doing something they love...for basicly nothing. Look at the big picture son...

Sure, these two guys coach against each other in opposing rivalry schools. But rivalries are just that. After season they don't mean much. Especially when you are talking about AAABA which has little is anything to do with high school baseball. In fact, off the top of my head, I can't think of any players on the Jtwn Grays who where returning to HS after last season. This league is mostly college players.

Besides that, these guys are coaching in the AAABA league for nothing. Do you see today's paper....5 teams in the AAABA...five! Not because there aren't enough kids, or sponsers...there isn't enough coaches to coach these teams. Apparently, there was a returning team P/H something...and they didn't have a coach to coach their team.

Now we have people like you bad mouthing people for things they do for free.

You don't have to like to like someone to respect them. You can say they suck, you can say they don't know anything, that's fine...that's your opinion. But please respect these gentleman for what they give to the game of baseball in our area.

If we had more guys like Knupp and Stenger...maybe Johnstown baseball wouldn't suck as bad as it does.
And the last thing I must tell you...NEVER QUIT!

Flex.......please share your coaching resume with us. Several jobs open up every year, throw your name in there next time.

Your posts are critical yet offer no solutions.

Many people love to criticize coaches but very few are willing to do what they do. High School coaches get paid a few cents an hour, yet are criticized like the million dollar professional and college coaches.

Coach Knupp puts in a ton of time with his program.

For those with all the answers, keep an eye on the classified section.
