Is anyone ready yet...

Post by ham55 »

...To admit the Pac-10 is absolute garbage. USC lost to Stanford. Are you serious? And UCLA lost to ND. There are JH teams that could put up more than 10 points on the Irish this year.

Cal is the only legit team in that whole conference, and thats' because they have a freakin' game breaker in DeSean Jackson.

Football, as a whole, is down this year throughout the ENTIRE NCAA I-A system.

And Cal might be bad, too. How can you have faith in that program after they've let you down so many times in the past?

As for USC, this upset was a few weeks earlier than I figured. The 6 best teams they will play in 2008 are in consecutive weeks from here on out. This team can legitimately lose 4-5 more games. If Cal really has grown as a program, they can beat this year's USC team. If Oregon has made a stride from their inconsistent past, which seems to maybe be the case, they will beat USC. If ASU is as good as people seem to think, they'll also spread that defense and beat USC. This defense is not as good as advertised, Booty is NOT the next Heisman QB from USC, and these receivers continue to make mistakes. This is a team who is not playing very well this year.

You take a look at Stanford and Washington. Here are two programs with very young QB's who are playing exceptional football. It doesn't get much bigger than beating USC on the road in a game where you are 40 point underdogs. Keep your eye on this Pritchard kid from Stanford, because he really looks to me like the next great QB from a sub-par team, i.e. Cutler, etc.

You Nitwits are unreal! When the Big10 beats up on each other, it is a great conference with great depth. When another conference does the same, that conference stinks. To borrow a line from TAE....the Pac-10 is great within itself.

At last check ND wasn't in the Pac-10. And when in the Big 10 it's not the bottom feeders beating the top team in the conference i.e. stanford over USU.

If you could read, you'd see that I'm talking about the Pac-10 on a national scale. The Pac-10 IS good within itself this year, so is the Big ten. I don't understand why you have such a hard time understanding that quote. If every Big East team goes 4-3 in the conference, isn't the Big East very strong within itself? Obviously nationally, they weren't. How much simpler can I get?

I don't understand how Big 10 fans can possibly bang on the Pac 10. Especially, after seeing one of those teams from the garbage conference put what looked like one of the Big 10s better teams in the fetal position on their home field. The Big 10s best two out of conference wins right now are at Washington and at Syracuse. The Pac 10 has at Nebraska, at Michigan, Colorado, Tennesse, BYU, at Syracuse. Their sixth best win is your second best. They have 3 teams in the top 10. Big 10 has one. When they loss games they don' t drop far, the Big 10 does. Coaches, media, fans, and Vegas are just not sold on your conference right now and you guys are banging on the Pac 10.

Cal is not the 2nd best team in the country, Weapon X. I've been complaining about every team, not just the Pac-10.
