PeNn State and Purdue.
How Purdue Beats Penn State:
Well, they have them at home, so they are already guaranteed to keep the game within 5 points maximum. Curtis Painter is probably the best QB in the Big ten, but Purdue has unknown receivers this season, for the first time in quite a long time. The passing attack that Purdue should have... they do not have. And on the ground, Kory Sheets is banged up. For Purdue to win, the WRs need to really step up. If Painter is given the cushions that Bradley loves to give, he can make things interesting in this game. The offensive line really has their work cut out for them. But, its a road game for Penn State, so anything can happen. It is Tiller's swan song season, so I am expecting Purdue to bite someone.
How Penn State Beats Purdue:
Purdue's run defense ranks at the bottom of the barrell. So does their pass defense. But I cannot stress enough that PSU has played very poorly on the road against B10 foes. They typically do not use much flash, and are content losing games by running the ball between the tackles 80 times a game. I really do not think West Lafayette is much of a hostile environment, so that should not be much of a factor. All they need to do is get the ball spread around like they have been, and they should be fine. On defense, need to get Painter uncomfortable. Middle of the defense must get better no matter who the opponent is. Josh Hull has been getting a lot of deserved criticism lately, and even had to respond to it. He has got to be lighter on his feet, even against a run game like Purdue's The DT's aren't helping him much, either. All they need to do is play their game, and they'll overpower Purdue on both sides of the ball.
