Local wrestlers in college

Post by wrestler000 »

if you have any information on local wrestlers that are wrestling at the college, please let me know.

I was doin some resaerch of my own, and of course UPJ has alot of the local wrestlers with: D6
Claysburgs - wetstone and macintyire
Forest hills - valko
mount union - the ryan brothers
Penn Cambria - link brothers, myers
johnstown - harris
richland - ryan crouse

Penn State
Forest Hills - Jake Staryer

I was also quite suprised only to see or find only like 4 wrestlers from d5 competing at the college level, its a shame to see some of the great wrestlers that d5 has produced not pursuin there career at the college level.

D5
North Star - The lascari brothers are at clarion
Chestnut Ridge - Brandon Phaler is I believe at Lock Haven

I was doin some more research on how some of these wrestlers are doing i didnt find much but id you could help me out id appriciate it
I seen that the phaler boy and macintyire met up this year in a tournament with phaler winning, I dont know much about the phaler boy but if someone can give me a status on him, cause to beat macityire is tough, i remeber watching macintyire at states a few times and placing pretty high.

Brandon Phaler is at Lock Haven as a red shirted freshman this year. I talked to him the other day and he said that he wrestled Garrett Scott at the Lock Haven open tournament. He lost 11-0. But I still count that impressive. He was the only one not to get pinned by Scott at the whole tournament. Brandon is a hard worker, always has been. And he has some real heart. And that's going to take him far.

Gary had a little problem with hs GPA( to low to get into a college). Shame he did not hit the books like he did the wrestling room. Also blame should fall on school for choosing to look the other way for sake of state champ. What a waste of talent.
