Sounds like AAAA Western Final was CRAZY...
Sounds like AAAA Western Final was CRAZY...
We need someone to find an article or something about it. They said it was 35-35 in OT and Wilson blocked a BP kick or something but roughing the kicker was called (not surehow since it was blocked???) so they got to kick it again and made it. Kids went after refs I think??? The MSA announcers were supposedly crying foul about a whole lote of things that were going againt Wilson over and over and over again.

Re: Sounds like AAAA Western Final was CRAZY...
STATE COLLEGE — Greetings from bone-cold Memorial Stadium, where District 7 champ Bethel Park has shocked District 3 champ and L-L League Section 1 champion Wilson 38-35 in triple-overtime in a knock-down, drag-em-out, thrill-a-minute PIAA Quad-A state semifinal game.
Best game I saw this season, gang — hands down. Not even close. Unfortunately for Wilson, it was always probably the worst officiated game I saw this season.
In the third OT, Wilson had fourth-and-goal and attempted a fake field goal. But Alex Fegley’s pass was intercepted and Bethel Park took over.
The Black Hawks won it when Patrick Lydon drilled a 25-yard field goal — after he missed a field goal, but Wilson was flagged for roughing the kicker.
Wilson finishes its season 14-1 overall.
Bethel Park (15-0) will take on Bethlehem Liberty (14-1) in the PIAA Quad-A state championship game next Saturday at 7 p.m. in Hersheypark Stadium.
I’ll have more here Monday; a Podcast, etc. Stay tuned.
Seems like nothing was blocked. Just a missed field goal, so roughing could be called. As for players going after officials i couldnt find anything on it coach.
