What if...
What if...
What if USC pounds UCLA like it did yesterday...
What if Florida beats Alabama like it did yesterday...
What if Missouri upset Oklahoma yesterday...
Who would have played in the National Title game?
How can you put Texas in the National Title game, after they not only didn't win their conference, they couldn't even win their own section? The BCS and everybody else says they don't want to take away the meaning of the regular season in College Football. But by putting Texas in after what they did to them one week ago effectively would have taken away the importance of the regular season TWICE in a matter of two weeks. Follow me here.
They had already said that Texas didn't deserve to be in the Big 12 title game even after beating the team head to head on a neutral field. Then they would have turned right around saying that the very team that wasn't good enough to win its own SECTION of it's own CONFERENCE is all the sudden now good enough to play for a national title? That was the very same knock on Georgia that kept them out of the Title game last year. And they would have snubbed USC, a team that won it's conference title on the field, throughout a regular season, and was good enough to win the Title outright? If you were to send Texas to the National Title game, Alabama would have been screwed out of that right too. At least they won their section in their conference.
It's a shame that Missouri didn't win last night.
It's a shame that Texas got the shaft job like they did last Sunday.
It's a shame there isn't a playoff in major college football.

Re: What if...
Years like this, is exactly why any playoff would have to include at least 8 teams; You'd have a hard time arguing against any of the top eight getting a shot.

Everyone needs to relax! Just like every other problem facing our nation, Barack Obama will get it done!

Re: What if...
This is why the BCS is a joke, but you'll hear the experts say the best two teams in the nation are playing. That's not true. Trust me I saw it on a neutral field. The #3 team in the nation beat the #1 team in the nation 45-35. I swear I remember seeing that. For some reason, it doesn't matter in College Football.

Re: What if...
I am saying that Obama has talked about how he would like to see a playoff system. You are forgetting that Democrats are calling him the Messiah. He will fix the economy, protect our nation, find Bin Laden, and institute a college football playoff system, in no particular order.
