I would rather have a lot of quarterbacks than Brett Favre right now. The key to the Steelers is defense. Last year Big Ben had to carry more of the load and had a nice year. This year he has came through in the clutch, but other than that has been very mediocre. In case you didn't realize hammy, a record is a stat, too. Therefore, I don't understand what you are implying with that?

Individual stats like you posted with the QB ratings. Rivers is leading the NFL, but his team is 6-8 and have an almost impossible path to get to the playoffs.

I'll never argue that the Steelers defense isn't the key to that team this year, but without Ben Roethlisberger leading them to comeback wins in the Jacksonville, San Diego, Dallas and Baltimore game, they're 7-7 right now and no where near close to making the playoffs. He's a winner. The defense put the offense in position to win those games. Someone had to come out and do it though.

I definitely agree that Roethlisberger is a winner. He's won his whole career. I am not a Brett Favre hater. In fact, I really like the guy because he's infatuated with Randy Moss. One of the main reasons he left the Packers was because they didn't go after Moss this offseason. I have seen Favre play a few times this season and haven't been that impressed. He has seen his better days at this point. He's still a great leader, but there are around 10 other guys I would rather have right now than Favre. Maybe he will prove me wrong by the end of the season.

That doesnt make sense to me at all. Favre doesnt deserve to be a pro bowler this year. Rivers was clearly the better QB in 2008, and deserves recognition for it. Rivers has better stats, but the wins arent there. Since when was making the pro bowl means you have to at least make the playoffs too? He got snubbed 100%.

Ever think maybe the Jets are actually good this year, thats why their record is good, not because of Brett Favre?
Maybe the Chargers just plain suck this year, and the only thing they have going for them is Rivers, who is having a hell of a season.

Hell, John Elway might as well come back and have the worst career in his life. Chances are he is still going to make the pro bowl because of his reputation.
Well let me tell you, nLions1 is a big time friend of Janek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
