WOW...talk about counting your chickens before they hatch....1 key injury to the big 5 returning for Bedford could realistically change the outcome of some matches, don't give them districts next year, yet...

Re: 2009 Wrestling Season
Bedford will still be the team to beat next season and could be a state contender again. They will have 6 or 7 state place winner level guys and if a few of the younger guys grow fast, they may be better than this year.

Re: 2009 Wrestling Season
I don't see Gibbons getting that much bigger to jump 2 weight classes until next year, he wrestled 145 before the weight change. That leaves no experience from 160 up. If this Browell is so good why doesn't he eliminate with Evans and make the team? Evans is horrible, sorry to say. In my earlier post I stated that an injury to one of Bedford's big 5 could mean a lot, and it would. Take NBC's team this year, 160 pounder Keith D*ck out for the last half of the year, Troutman out , Morris out, the would be starter at 171 Preston Albright never got to wrestle at all this year due to an ACL injury in football season, need I go on? You can't count on it till it actually happens folks.....

Re: 2009 Wrestling Season
That's why it is called a PREdiction.
Gibbons might be at 152 for next post season, but I would PREdict that he wrestles alot at 160. He is a tall wrestler, so if he starts to fill out he could really jump in weight. Regardless I would PREdict that half or more of his dual meet matches are at 160.
Browell wouldn't eliminate with Evans because he is a 215 pounder and will be the HWT next year.
Bedford also will have the return of their 189 pounder in Frederick who was injured this year.
I would PREdict that barring some major injuries Bedford will be the team to beat in D-5 next year.

I agree that Bedford will be strong next year but I wouldn't count out CR or NBC to maybe upset them next year.
