After several days of speculation, Bill Guerin is on the move.

The Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday acquired the right wing from the New York Islanders, according to TSN of Canada.

However, the report did not disclose what New York will receive in return.

The 38-year-old Guerin was removed from the Islanders' lineup prior to Saturday's 2-0 win over the Buffalo Sabres, fueling speculation he has been traded.

Guerin, who has a no-trade clause, had been the subject of many trade rumors as the NHL deadline looms.

A 17-year veteran, Guerin has recorded 16 goals and 20 assists in 61 games this season.

YEA BABY...He & Kunitz were on Vman's Christmas list for the Pens! Not to be redundant but the losses in grit via Malone, Roberts, Ruutu, Hall & Laroque departures & the injury bug really sapped the Pens for last few months........Billy Guerin is an excellent, all around, acountable, tough, productive forward; Shero has excelled again!! No word on Satan as yet, suppose he may go to HE double Hockey Sticks??

Pens add Craig Adams!! Adams is your prototypical fourth-line grinder who can help in the penalty kill. He's physical, plays defense and bring energy. Don't expect goals out of this guy. He brings some playoff experience as well having made two runs to the Cup final with the Hurricanes and winning a ring in 2006. Adams, 31, isn't afraid to drop the gloves either: His cap # is only $600,000 Shrewd move by Shero to add some grit.

And Satan is history i believe.... The Penguins have the option of assigning Satan, whose contract is worth $3.5 million, to the Baby Penguins to open salary-cap space to handle the additional payroll they took on today.

well how about a lil reason there(lil humor for those of you in Beaverdale & Onnalinda).....even the eternally optimistic Vman would not have predicted 6 in a row even after the astute & timely additions made by Shero! The playoffs will be no gimme!! Boston is tough & Wash matches up better w/ the Pens now.....talk of evolution, last yr Wash had one player under 6' (Matt Cooke); this yr they are all over 6' tall. Philly just got Brierre back from injury (think he has been out all yr) so they will also be a tough out. WE STILL HAVE TO MAKE PLAYOFFS!! Have not looked @ schedule but we play like 5 of next six or 6 of next seven @ home....that should really enhance those playoff chances!

Did get to watch most all of the game yesterday...anyone notice how awesome Sid looks w/ top line wingers > watch out for that line rest of the way!!

I wish Guerin was 5 years younger. How long is his contract for?

i believe he is in last yr.....FA after the season. For those of you not real familiar w/ BG, please watch he is a consummate pro & very accountable besides being skilled & gritty!

9 of their next 10 are at home. Still a very tough stretch. But the Pens are playing as well as anybody is right now. They could finish anywhere from 9th to 4th this year. The East is so tight it's unreal.

Western Conference is just as tight. I seen a week ago that the Stars lost 1 game and fell something like from 6th to 12th in the standings.
