Yea please do stop posting, i doubt you have ever input any meaningful discussion on bleachercoaches, all you do is simply jump down any ones throat that speaks ill on BM the least bit, even though I simply mentioned he was an alumni.

If my information of comment upset you, please comment on why I was incorrect. Is this BM grad. really putting together exceptional defenses or what?

First, I'm not exactly sure how much "say" he has on the defense. Second, isn't it also the players job to stop someone once and a while? Richland doesn't exaclty have the BEST players comming through the system, yet. To put Richland's lack of defense purely on the sholders of a guy that has been an assistant there only 2 years is unfair and unrealistical.

I think this BM Grad also coached at McCort and Windber and was pretty successful in both places. I would like to know how many average points per game were scored against the rams over the past two seasons and see what the tally is. Then compare it to all the teams in the LHAC and see how the rams fair in comparison to the others on defense.

Can someone out there produce those numbers in an accurate mannor.

Just because I was already taking a look at it...they were about 7/12 in points allowed both seasons.

This coach I am talking about is the Defensive coordinator and has been there for a few years coaching. I am not calling for the guy to resign or anything, the things he has done for richland have been obvious, all I am saying is he and the rest of the coaching staff REALLY needs to do something to figure out how to put a decent defensive unit. It is obvious the past few seasons there offense has improved dramatically, if only there defense could be as effective. Example stat, against winning teams last season they averaged almost 31 points per game, and the previous season about one point less at 29.8. This is vs a team such as Johnstown who are not known for having stellar defense, giving up 24.6 ppg against winning teams. Better yet, mccort, a team who some would say had a weaker than normal defense, and who richland clearly wishes to surpass, gave up a mere 20.5 incuding steelton high.

maybe they can find some running game out of shotgun or go back to some I formation to maybe score in the red zone, but i doubt it...

On another, non-sterotypical note...

You gotta love FH to be the head of the LHAC as far as AA is concerned. I like Richland almost as much, they have the skill players to beat the rangers but the Rams just can't get a decent line. Look at it from a perspective where Richland does have a good line. Gino gets more time in the pocket, whcih means a more dangerous passing game (if it's possible). Then with alll those guys going back in coverage you give Rizzo the ball. You gotta lick your chops when you think about an offense like that. As far as their D is concerned, we'll leave that for another day.

The only thing I disagree about is the CH comment about priester and stanek. Stanek was great for the Heights, but Jeremy Priester? No way. Look at his stats as a junior and compare them to his senior year. He was more of a headcase than anything. In my personal opinion their biggest loss was their center and linebacker Andrew Gause. He was a great blocker and the only one on the team who could play defense. Still, with Vescovi in the pocket he has some good recievers in Brawley and Welderoth (Spelling?) that are more than capable of carrying the load. If the can play at least a sub-par defense I see them at least beating Bedford and I see them beating Somerset by at least 10.

Still, it's way to early to tell, but basketball is basically over so I gotta have something to post about :|
