IDEAL PICK-UP ??
Re: IDEAL PICK-UP ??
shut up??? oh, you're so cold!! show me what part of this was not true last year: "No one wants to depend on that injury faking stiff from Texas in the clutch!!" that's what I thought.... A stream is calling; maybe I'll catch something more personable than what's on here

I take it you know more than the whole Steelers organization does then? Do I have to go and show you how many wide receivers have a very difficult first season? Did you know Limas Sweed had wrist surgery his Senior season at Texas? Do you know if he was fully healed last season? There are many factors that go into play with Limas. He has no excuses in his second season and it looks like the Steelers are willing to give him a shot. Maybe they shouldn't because people as "smart" as you think he sucks because of a rough Rookie season.

Last year was the first year Nate Washington became "dependable" when thrown too. In his previous 2 years he couldn't catch a ball in self defense. Limas will have time to grow. They've shown patience with receivers in the past. Holmes struggled his rookie season, too.

The knock on Sweed in college was his inability to catch, too. I was surprised Pittsburgh took him.

He reminds me a lot of Nate Washington 3 years ago. Amazing athletic ability and frame for a receiver but just struggles catching the ball. He'll come around though, Steelers just need Ward to buy enough time before his game really begins to fall off to develop Sweed into a number 2 receiver.
