Re: Where is the Class of 09 headed?
I heard he runs a 4.3 but thats just word of mouth from sidmanpats39 wrote:Just out of curiosity, I know mehall has great "game speed" but how is his ever valued "track" speed, 40 yard dash?

I highly doubt Mehall runs a 4.3 or even 4.4. If you've ever watched him play it isn't his top end speed that makes him so good it's his field vision and his body control. He is probably the smoothest looking running back I've seen at the highschool level and always seems a step ahead of the defense. He is the complete package at running back with size, strength, speed, agility, hands, and vision.. but 4.3 speed? Come on. In the program he was listed around 200 lbs. A 200lb running back with a 4.3 forty and 1800 yds with 27tds is guaranteed big time division 1. Mehall runs track, and if he could run a 4.3 I'd assume he would've been able to beat Marshal (Bedford) in the 100 and he did not.

Gotta agree w/ lakerfan(that's a first).... Mehall is/was a fantastic back with scary explosiveness (and toughness) but if he ran 4.3 we'd be talking WVU, PITT, UPS etc...

Vman, is Reynolds, Schrey, McAneny, or any of the other McCort seniors planning on continuing their careers? Like the Rangers that was a hell of a senior class and I'd love to see how some of these kids develop in college with even better coaching and workout programs.

I also agree with Lakers... I would say Mehall runs in the high 4.5 to the lower 4.6 which is a decent speed for this area..
He gets to a good college and get him on the right speed progam and a good conditionin/speed coach and they shave .1-.2 seconds off of that forty then he will be a force to be reckoned with.
With his body build and the way he runs he is def. a D1 tailback. He has the moves and the field vision of a high caliber back. The only problem is his speed is not there. He works on that in college and continues to get better as a back then the sky is the limit for the kid.

I agree with all you you guys i was just saying what i heard...i didnt believe it either but a low 4.5 sounds about right (low as in 1-5)

Jason looking at a couple places but could pick Juniata & attend basically free with all packages offered (great kid). Jack is leaning towards playing hoops @ Pitt Greensburg. TJ PSU Altoona, no sports.

That 40 speed is HIGHLY over-rated. Anyone remember a fella named Rocky Bleier?
Re: Where is the Class of 09 headed?
yes it is, but college programs look for speed.
