Re: TM @ NB
I just have one question for all of the Panthers...
Are you ready, for the Titans?
Because, the Titans, are ready, for you.

Re: TM @ NB
Two, or three quick comments on what was an exciting and emotional night at Panther Community Stadium.
First, Congratulations the Titans, you held in there after being dominated in the first half, didn't allow the deficit to get to you, and came a way with a hard fought win.
Second, I would never disparage a Northern Bedford athlete, their kids played hard, dealt with the elements as best they could, and really played tough right to the end.
But, when you go up 18-0 and lose 21-18 there is only one answer. You were simply outcoached. Its been quite a while since I have been a coach, but the same thing was true in the '70s and its true now. When entering the locker room with that type of lead, you have to analyze what worked, what didn't work, and how you're going to shut the opponent down. That did not happen and Tussey Moutain came out with a better game plan. The Titans were able to learn from their mistakes in the first half, create a new game plan that better utilized their talents, and more effectively attacked the weak points in the Panthers defense.
How did NB respond? They didn't. They continually went back to the well, which had run dry on the Titans improved defensive schemes.
Finally, when moving the ball effectively, its usally poor form to attempt to pass on three straight downs, especially in weather like tonight. I'm speaking of Nothern's last effective drive, after stopping the Titans inside their own 10 yard line. The Panthers ran the ball very effectively up to the 50 yard line, and had over three minutes to finish the drive. I honestly thought the Panthers were going to finally break through, and beat my Titans. This didn't happen at all, thanks to problematic play calling. On First and 2, I agree, that is a passing down, but when it didn't work, when your wide receivers were unable to get traction, the Panther's coaches needed to go back to the run game, which had brought them back and was creating a very effective drive. This didnt happen, instead the Panthers attempted two very strange routes which had to that point been ineffective, and this time was no different. The Titans were able to close down the Panthers final substantive drive not by their own talent and ability, but through poor play calling on the part of the NB coaches.
I know this site is run by NB coaches and faculty, and I hate to step on your toes guys, but in all reality your players deserved better, and the Titans were fortunate to get this win.
Good luck to both teams for the rest of the season.
