Two-Hand Touch/Flag Football Tournament!

What: 7 on 7 two hand touch football tournament
Where: NBC Football Practice Field
When: December 30, 2009 @ 11 AM (Snow date- Jan. 2nd, 11 AM)
Cost: $100 per team

We are having a 7 on 7 two hand touch football tournament at the NBC practice field beside the stadium to benefit the Cove Relay for Life. This money goes directly to people in our area to help them in their fight against cancer. Teams can have anywhere from 7-10 players. All players must be 18 years or older to participate. You MUST pre-register so we know how many teams will be coming. To register or ask questions, please contact Garry Black ([email protected]) or Mike Wiand ([email protected]). When registering please send your team name, team members, and team color. Also designate a captain and put his phone number down so that a contact can be made if we have to change the date due to snow. You will pay the day of the event, and you will also sign a waiver form clearing the school district of any injury that you may end up getting. Basically, you can't come back on the school for anything if you sprain your ankle.

The tournament rules will be gone over the day of the event by Garry Black. We will have referees. This will be a double elimination tournament. Winners receive nothing except the glory of knowing they are the winner. We may come up with a trophy if enough teams apply that will be awarded to the captain and will make its rounds if this becomes an annual event.


Thanks! Hopefully we get some interest and hopefully can make $1000 or more. $100 per team comes out to 10 per person if you fill your roster. To come out and play some football while those less fortunate...PRICELESS.

Is anyone else even remotely interested? I'm hoping to get some Bedford, Everett, TM, Ridge, Claysburg, etc grads to participate.

FYI...this is FLAG if I can secure flags. I've had several people contact me hoping for flag instead. I just can't seem to find decent flags. I might have to just buy some.
