Listen, it's easy to see Urban is legit. If you can't, you are probably need to go to the same doctor as a few area umpires... To be honest, Austin Urban is the most talented ball player I have ever had the chance to play with and I consider myself lucky for that. It's easy to get jealous of the kid especially when one knows how dominating he will most likely be this spring wherever he is pitching hitting or fielding. Hating on him in these posts just makes yourself seem like a fool, and that's all you have accomplished. He's a great kid, too. He isn't going around school bragging of his situation, and I know a lot of us would be if we were in his shoes. So he is a legit ball player, and not a "d bag". When i say a ball player, that's what he truly is. He doesn't PLAY baseball like mostly everyone else... He is a true baseball PLAYER. Finally, Urban is probably not the one who made this post, so don't point your key-board happy fingers at him. Adding to that, you wont see any Richland baseball player getting on here and talking up this years season, because that's not how we operate. Urban is no exception. Urban, myself, and more importantly the rest of the baseball team just have one very simple message for anyone who needs to ask any questions about this year - Goodluck to you and we will see you on the field. With that said, please keep the Richland baseball team and its players out of your mouths if nothing good is going to be said. Once again all you are showing is your foolishness.

Just A note from an oldtimer: We all know that no self respecting player would use their REAL name on here Dan. The giveaway is especially with only one post??
Yes, we have seen some of the authentic talent of Mr. Urban. We have also taken note of Urban's occasional attitude and tantrums. As he matures, lets hope he outgrows the little "shows". College coaches will spot these follies a mile away.

baseball12 wrote:hes deff not as good as everybody thinks. he can throw harder than a lot ppl but hes not a pitcher and he can hit and hes good at SS but everytime he makes an error he gets hurt or there is dirt in his eye theres an excuse for everything hes just about a ****. hes on the 18u ERA team and i saw him play one of the 16u teams at UPJ and he came in to pitch and he thinks he throws so hard no one can hit it well some of the 16s were hitting him and then he walked about 4 runs in and as soon as that happened he walked off the mound claiming his arm hurt but it didnt hurt it was classic AU as soon as something goes wrong hes hurt so theres a reason or excuse he did that bad. But he has this attiude that noone is as good as him and theres no one better if he was as good as his ego he would be the number 1 pick in the draft this coming year.

I agree with you, he is not nearly as good as everyone thinks, i watched his colt league team play against the sliders in the playoffs and Long, a United boy, struck him out with a straight fastball twice in a row, and Long also showed no fear of this so called "mlb prospect" when he smashed a double off of Urban to pull the lead...others from the sliders including Jon Hess and Luke James also pounded the ball off of Urban so i mean why wouldnt college teams be able to hit him if these 16 yr olds can hit him with no problem

If the kid is in the elite leagues and makes them, and has a full ride to penn state he is legit in my eyes. I don't even know the kid and never saw him play, but he must be all that! Give a hoeboy his kudos man. What is a matter with jealous people trying to make a kid look bad in anyway. Sounds like someone out there wishes they were mr. austin urban. Good job austin and good luck. wanting a hometown boy to succeed. Just like jeff hostetler! Nobody liked him either and said he was a crybaby. But look where he went!
