Top Scorer
Post your nominees for the top scoring player for this season. We will find out the correct person later then. My vote is most likely going to be Tyler Smith of the Shade Panthers.

gurantee that it won't be him. Ya he is a really good player but he wont be top scorer

Re: Top Scorer
I know through 4 games Luke Gallaher was leading the state at 30 ppg. Currently Ryan Gaunt is ranked second in the state at 29 ppg through 6 games. Also, a few individual highlights for area players: Ian Vescovi leads the state with 6.4 bpg, followed by Brian Holsinger at third with 5.5 bpg. AJ Rievel is second in the state with 14.5 rpg. Dylan Link is second in the state with 5.8 spg, followed by Grant Speigle of Connemaugh Township at fourth with 4.8 spg. Dylan Link also ranks sixth in the state with 6.2 apg.
Basketball in the area is very weak compared to the rest of the state, but nonetheless these are early season accomplishes these student atheltes should be proud of.

I'd have to agree that Gaunt is a great player. However, I'm going to stick with my decision.

Re: Top Scorer
Gallagher leading the state in scoring is NOT accurate. As a matter of fact, it isn't even close. Where did you get your stats? They are definitely incomplete.
Chartiers Valley out of WPIAL AAA has TJ McConnell, who is averaging 36ppg through last night's game. He committed to DuquesneU.
