Pens beat that EXPLETIVE like they owed them a milkshake
Great effort tonight by the good guys.
I hope no one starts talking trash on Halak being overrated. The guy does not have enough of a deep defensive bench to keep playing out of mind nightly. He has the potential to be one of the top goalies in the league someday. I just hope ppl don't calling him a "fluke". He's not a fluke. No one can stop 53 shots a night like he did against Wash.
I think this could seriously be over in 4. Pitts is just too complete of a team.

Staal being out for the playoffs is not true....
"Penguins center Jordan Staal will be listed as day-to-day after undergoing a procedure to repair a lacerated tendon in his foot. Staal was injured during the second period in Game 1."
Taken from the Pens website... Byslma also said the rumors he was out for the remainder of the year were false.

Well this one isn't going to be over in 4.
Halak stood on his head today, sucks that we were so dominant for most of the game and had to give it away with three lapses.
Oh well, let's take two in Montreal.

Staal skated this morning with the team but did not participate in the practice. My guess is he rests unless they get into a "must win" situation. If this series goes 6 I'd expect to see him in that game.... just a hunch.

What the hell happened tonight? Man, up 2-1 through 2 periods, with the first goal somehow squeezing through Fleury's legs, then the 3rd comes and the Pens shoot themselves in the foot. That 3rd period was just so hard to watch. Not the whole 3rd period, but for about 4 minutes, it was just a terrible let down by the Penguins.
Halak is a stonewall against the Penguins. That's all I have to say about that.
The Pens absolutely dominated the first 2 periods, I want to know what the Canadians drank before coming out in the 3rd. They went from not being able to get the puck out of their own zone into the penguins zone, and just reversed the role on the Penguins for most of the 3rd.
Would have loved to go 3-1 into Pittsburgh this weekend. I knew this was going to be a tough series for the Penguins, I just wonder if they thought that going into this series. Hope they were prepared, because I see a lot of frustration coming from the Penguins players thats for sure.
I'm not worried, its a long series, hopefully the Penguins light a fire under their butts for two games straight and come away with the series. I really don't want to see this go 7 at all.
