So two incidents of fisticuffs at Richland this year??? Somone should be providing some details, don't you think? It is a bleachercoach rule that if you have info, you must provide it. Read the fine print...

I thought that was the reason people talk on BC, to get info before everyone else. If the Richland thing get any bigger we are going to have espn down here to report on it.

Here is what was reported to me about the Richland duals last weekend. My neighbor was there because his kid is involved in the elementary program. Sponsky was at the High School even though BC has no Wrestling program and he was with the dad of the family that is the center of the whole thing. My neighbor said there seemed to be something going on between the aforementioned dad, Sponsky, and the current AD but he wasn't close enough to be sure. They went their separate ways after Pat Pecora intervened. My neighbor later walked out into the hall way and saw the assistant coach and the dad having words and my neighbor went back into the gym because he didn't want to get involved. He said he then saw the dad, the assistant coach, the AD and a guy he didn't recognize flash past him down the back hall way behind the gym, he heard noises and was told by another parent that the dad in the center of the situation pushed the assistant up against the wall a few times and punched the assistant. The assistant didn't raise a hand and did nothing to retaliate and later went and filed charges with the Richland Police against the dad. This story was then confirmed to my neighbor by a Richland wrestling coach. This whole situation is now completely out of control. I cannot believe Sponsky showed up at Richland High School. What was he thinking? If anyone has more info on this let us know. My neighbor is a straight shooter and he wouldn't make this stuff up (I don't think anyone could).

Unbelievable. Where is the Superintendent in all of this. First they overpay a coach that leads to a lawsuit, that leads to a million dollar settlement with the teachers. Then Bailey & Co. are given administratuve positions, and let run rough-shod over any coach that doesn't go along with the program (ie. the former wresting coach, and a good Richland guy). Now a disgruntled parent is calling the shots. What has the Super been doing during all of this? other than collecting a fat pay-check.

With all signs pointing to Sponksy taking over for the removed Bailey, what happens to Carroll, and who becomes the coach there?

If I was sponsky I would run away from this job,not walk RUN!!!! With all that has happened the new coach will really be under the microscope.The slightest bit of failure will be magnified by the other side.Things really seem to be in shambles at richland! This could really set the progam back to the stone ages.What a shame ,it looks like it is too late and the damage is now irrepairable
