Yeah. I know. Add another one when a situation like this comes up.

I mean but where really. I don't know much about the gyms in the District. Only ones I've been to are Windber,Township,Somerset and Bedford. Neither one is particularly special or nice enough to use for PIAA playoffs.

i don't think it is a disadvantage to s. fulton to play at UPJ--they played in the D-5 game there, and have been there many times in recent memory, and they travel well. the 2 head-scratchers for sites are homer girls going to Clarion Univ. when they and Union are both district runner ups, and northern cambria having to go to keystone high, also in clarion county, i believe, to play union boys. seems like there could have been something more equitable for both d-6 teams.

The First Round games do not go for equitableness, even in cases where the seeds are comparable. Instead, the district of the home team (higher team on the bracket, chosen by seed weight) gets to put the game in their district.

However, d5 plays their games in d6 country (UPJ) due to it being better than other district locations. Yeah, I don't think the UPJ game location for S Fulton and CV will play a big role in the game but for the fans, the student body, the parents, I would have thought that there would have had to been a gym down toward the central-eastern part of d5 that could have handled the crowd for the CV-S Fulton game but maybe not...

Shade has the toughest draw against clairton. Last time shade played clairton they got spanked by a faster, stronger, more athletic team. Playing out that way the refs always let it be a physical game also. They have to go way out to gateway high school, which won't help! Southern Fulton struggled with berlins height, and c.v. has alot of height! Shade screwed up by getting knocked off in the championship game because they matched up well with c.v and beat them already, and it would be at u.p.j. Which is like their home court advantage as much as they have been their in the last 4 years!

I think tussey beat clairton last year on that missed foul shot that they stood around on and tussey rebounded it and scored at the buzzer. Or was that two years ago! Clairton wasn't well coached or disiplined, but have great athletes that all can dunk and run.
