I'm not sure, but I think I heard a wolf howling at districts.....

Yah, he didn't wrestle too well. His first match against the fechet kid from south fayette(who took 5th), wolf was down 1-0 because he had a bracelet on his wrist and forgot to take it off. His head wasn't in it from their on out by going down 1-0 before it started and he lost 4-1. He then lost 9-3. These kids down here are definitely the real deal! I was disappointed in otten also, but a valuable experience for him as he has 1 more year to improve upon this to make it to states next year. He is hurt in my opinion because he has nobody that can push him in practice that is close to him like other schools have a couple kids that are equal. EX. south fayette has carr, and the 2 fechet boys that are tough to wrestle with to make them better. Wolf doesn't have that kid at shade unless he wrestles coaches. bedford has the kids as does somerset. Wolf went to north star to practice and beat sutton, lohr, and nickelson before the regionals. He is good, but now knows he better put in more time and wrestle better kids to make it. These kids down here were alot stronger also than I thought they would be.

Not knocking the kid at all... just the people who make posts on here!!! So which is it , you make the excuse of no practice partners and in other posts they say how he wrestles all the studs at young guns... make up your mind!

He plays football also, and goes up their as much as possible, so I guess he doesn't get as much time at young guns. I was talking about in season he has noone over at shade that can give him a match where he practices at. But on the flip side, roberts goes to central cambria and to penn state to shirto(I believe) right after practice at north star, so maybe wolf will have to do the same. He did go to tournaments in other states this year, but I don't know how good the competiton was! You are right though, he has 1 more year to find that competition and get more practices outside of shade next year to advance. He did work harder this year than in his first 2, but at least he knows that what he did thid offseason isn't good enough to beat the studs at regionals. He didn't get that dominated though in his matches either, so he isn't too far away from where he needs to be. We will see next year how bad he wants it now that he has a taste of it, and it was a sour tasting ending for him. But, most of the d-5 guys we had got destroyed at regionals also. Even the bedford and ridge kids, and those schools are miles ahead of shade still! I thought d-5 was better than this and sorry, I thought wolf was too, but I admit I was wrong. Hopefully all these kids will work harder for next year so d-5 will have more qualifiers. They are only good around here for now!
