HUGE win last eve (who else was fighting sleep to see finish?) Pens obviously out-playing TB! I know one doesn't mess w/ a winning lineup but I'm a big Engelland fan - Lovejoy & Nisky on for both goals I believe - Lavaliere & Malone are too big for them. Engelland would definitely battle them/clear them out more than that duo is capable of doing.

I've been calling for Engelleland to play since the series started! Especially every time I see Lecavalier or Malone parked in front of the net. But regardless I think this series is over Saturday.

I agree that Engelland should get a chance to play in this series. however with it going back to the burgh, bylsma will be able to control the matchups better, and chances are niskanen and lovejoy will not be on the ice at the same time as st louis, stamkos and lecavalier.

Engelland can't transition from defense to offense on a rush near as quick as either of those guys. I think Bylsma is more concerned with generating offense in this series than defense. I feel that is why Engelland has been a scratch so far.

Re. our defense, our top 4 may be better than any in hockey!I can't disagree, ak47, that Lovejoy & Nisky move the puck fairly well but I've now seen Lovejoy getting mugged numerous times by Lecavalier and Niskanen gets pounded by those bigger dudes. Make no mistake about it there is a game w/in the game going on as TB's coach is double shifting Lecavalier & St Louis in effort to match them against the Pens 3rd pair! D. Engelland moves the puck fairly well and would certainly be more of an inhibiting presence in front of net.

No one else in the league has 7 defense as talented as Pittsburgh. I'm not debating with you that Engelland shouldn't play but I was pointing out why he probably wasn't. I think he should definitely be in the game five lineup and I think he should have played at least once in the series so far but I am not one to question coaches (especially good coaches).
