LHAC Week 3.

That's right jd. J-town always seems to have "one of those games" a year. But imo that would happen later in the season if it happens at all. I also remember that the Trojans always put a beating on Richland the next week after losing those Westy games (that's what happened last year to FH, although it wasn't a beating). The Rams should be hoping for a Trojan victory.

Win, lose, or draw Saturday I think the Trojans will put a beating on the Rams next Friday night.

You are probably right jd. Hopefully they come out of Trojan stadium fairly healthy. The Rams have a tough 2 game stretch. I remember when BC was at the top of their game and Richland had them, J-town and Mccort back-to-back-to-back. It was brutal.

Rams can still have a good year, might be the second best team in D6 AA behind Tyrone, but I definitely see them at 3-2 after those two games.

Now I am not saying this is going to happen again but just something to think about; Richland has not lost to both J-town and McCort in the same season playing both on the road since before Pecora was a senior. I think that would have been his sophomore year. His senior year (the year they made the playoffs for the 1st time in forever I was told) they got smoked by J-town at Trojan stadium and then surprised BM at the Point. Two years later they beat the Trojans at Johnstown and then got trampled (literally) by the future state runners-up Crushers at the Point. Just something to build a little anticipation for after this Friday.

I'm not counting on Johnstown walking away against Richland. looking forward to some collisions with Rizzo and Williams.
Also I'm not expecting McCort to beat the Rams easily.

Let another week play out, see how it goes. Johnstown has an amazing passing game, and a so so running game. McCort has a pretty good passing game with good backs. But as of now Richland is running and throwing the ball well. Hard to argue with the numbers so far.

My big thing is I'm not sure how much speed the Rams have outside of Rozich, which could really do them in against Johnstown. I can see the Johnstown receivers running around open all night long against the Rams and Simon having a big night. Then again on the other hand Johnstown has historically been known as a soft team, not good when your going against a back like Rizzo. And Richland's big strength this year is running the ball, obviously, something I'm not sure they can do against McCort. Even though McCort's undersized LB's, primarily James and somewhat Varga, could give them problems against Rizzo. But those inside three on that Crusher d-line should do a good job of helping to contain Rizzo, as well as the other inside backer in Dubovi whose 6'0 200, and Rizzo is 6'1 235. And Crimson I agree on looking forward to some nice collisions between Rizzo and Williams next Friday. Regardless of what happens, there should be some great games on the horizon in the LHAC in these next few weeks. Gotta love this time of year!

While I agree with most of your comments, I do have to take exception with the comment Johnstown has historically been known as a soft team. If you mean line play has been a weak link then you definitely have a valid point. However, they currently have 2 lineman playing D1. Not too many d6 teams can say that. Is there line a strong point year in and year out? Absolutely not.

When you say historically do you mean the past five years? Ten years? 100 years?

Just out of curiosity could you expand on what you meant by that? NOT CRITICIZING, just curious.

Well in my playing days 06-09, we always looked at them as a soft team we could bully around on the line. And as a team that you get a couple good hits in on their receivers, qb, or running backs and they'd fold. And when I played them that often seemed to be the case. So I've just always thought of them as a team that had speed but was afraid of contact.

You can have a big and strong team, but it dosn't make you tuff. It comes down to mentality.
