Should Syracuse Basketball get the death penalty too? If you say no, well then you sir are the biggest hypocrite I have ever seen.

As far as I am concerned, hammer Cuse, Boeheim, etc. Lock up Fine forever. Give Cuse the death penalty. Boeheim is to Cuse as Paterno is to PSU.

Nowadays it seems like a "cover-up" is worse than the deed itself. Just ask Bill Clinton. Was there a cover-up at Syracuse?

This first came out in 2003 apparently, and Jim Boeheim seems to think the accuser is lying.
From what I can gather, nobody on the Syracuse staff or the 3 other victims the accuser mentioned corroborated his story. Boeheim vehemently is opposing the accusations and straight up called them false.
So no there does not appear to be a cover up as I think the Syracuse staff became aware of the allegations or whatever years ago.
Boeheim brought up a strong point here....
Why is the kid going to ESPN and not the police?
And don't you think its a bit curious that he chooses now of all times to bring it up? Wasn't there some other big scandal recently that may have propelled his thought process? I wonder if this is all part of a plan to extract some money and exposure....if it is this is going to blow up in the kid's face.
I want to see thing unfold, I doubt this reacher PSU levels but who knows.

Just reading up on it...
There is the accuser and his step brother are the only ones coming forward.
They reported everything a while back, but the statue of limitations was in effect and nothing can be done unless kids a are currently or have recently been abused by Bernie Fine. This doesn't have the same stench as Penn State did, cover up wise. Syracuse and everyone was aware when the allegations were made back in 2003. This is different than Penn State, but errily similar. Like way too similar. Long time assistant involved with charities trying to help out young kids and eventually it leads to having a room in the basement, and to traveling with the coach to postseason games.
Like I said it needs to be played out before everone can generalize what happened and before we fire another coaching legend. Boeheim and Syracuse Basketball is a huge deal in New York, just like PSU Football around here. Boeheim is one of the most successful coaches in Basketball history. This can explode just like Penn State. More will come out about the sexual assault accusations, but mostly the main difference here is that there does not seem to be a cover up. But who knows, these big time athletic programs are pretty secretive as we have seent he past two weeks.
