Lefteye, I was curious if the Charlton boy was injured? Why would'nt he wrestle as he wrestled when those teams meet earlier in the year.
Just curious.

I have no idea. I just know he hasn't wrestled their full schedule. He is pretty solid and makes them very tough from 106-132.

Agreed, I expect to see him settle in at 120 or possibly 113 for the match tomorrow night. It should be a good one. Depending on
how the toss up matches go it might go down to the wire. Either way, the winner is looking at top seed Bedford. Not much of a motivator for
either team. :ymsick:

I agree it is a toss-up. Def. one that could be decided by the flip. D-5 has 7 good dual teams in my opinion. Should be an interesting few days. Also lots of key match-ups for district seedings.

There are issues with Charlton getting down to 113.

I'd take a Somerset squad missing 2 starters over a combined NBC/TM squad tomorrow night.

Last time Meyersdale and Twp. meet they had charlton at 120 and bumped everyone else up a weight and it worked out well for them. This match up CT has a couple new faces in the lineup with Knotts at 132(which as everyone knows this kid can be extremly dangerous to both his team and the other team) he is a real wild card and somewhat like Forest Gump and his box of chocolates you never know what your gonna get. Please dont think I am insulting the young man as I know him and tell him the exact same thing when I get a chance to speak with him. It is kinda a running joke. Also, CT has added Ryan Shifflet at 160lbs and he is still working on getting in shape but is a formidable wrestler himself. So with the numerous options on both sides it should make for a interesting match. I dont know if either team wins more that 3 matches against Bedford.

Bedford over Berlin
Township over Meyersdale
Somerset over NBC
Ridge over North Star

Semi-Fianls
Bedford over Township

I don't think anyone should think of Northern as underdogs or Bedford as for sure winners Northern has some tough wrestlers and Somerset is super tough this year and well we all know any given year Chestnut Ridge is tough...being that I am a Bedford fan I think its ours to lose but I know as well as anyone any D-5 team could win.I think D-5 doesn't get the respect they deserve ....
