Home court advantage.....
Re: Home court advantage.....
The Duquesne boys won the "A" title back-to-back in 1992-93. Since that time, only one public school -- Juniata Valley -- has won the boys "A" title. Other than Steel-Hi, Monessen (2004) is the only public school to win the girls "A" crown since 1998. Karns City (2000) is the last public school to win girls "AA," but the boys have fared better in double-A, with Sto-Rox, Beaver Falls, Jeannette and South Fayette capturing titles since 1999.

Coachcal and ramfan.....the kid who transferreewd to York Catholic will now have a shot a a D1 scholarship.......a chance she never would have had had she stayed at Richland. At YC she will be in a program with a tradition of excellence and committment to girls hoops, play on a consistently good competitive AAU team with her high school teammates who are committed to hoops, will be coached by one of the best coaches in the girls HS game, be on a HS team that actually has tryouts and play a HS schedule that is fairly competitive.
Good move. Good luck to her.

And now if York Catholic would just play up a class, everything would be copasetic.

Make all private/catholic/charter schools play in AAAA. Then we'd see how good they really are.

Merge little school district and eliminate noncompetitive "A" schools and all the catholic schools would be the smallest schools in the state, playing up anyway.

Okay, merge the little public "A" school and while we are at it instead of having 3 - 4 "private" schools in one area as like Johnstown why don't these "private" schools merge as well.....if it is good for the public schools to merge then the private schools could merge as well......wait they probably don't have enough scholarships to handle that many students
