High School Summer Leagues in Johnstown

Post by UofLGuy »

Can anybody tell me where I might see any of the local Johnstown high school teams play in a league this summer? I like going to games when I can in the winter and was interested in maybe catching a couple of games over the summer but wasn't sure where the teams might be playing. Also, is there a website or some other way that I can get a schedule of the games? Thanks in advance for any help anyone is able to provide.

Unless things have changed, Roxbury Park was where the outdoor summer leagues played. I've seen in the local rag, something about a Richland league? Not sure if it's indoor at the school or not. There is an extensive Altoona league, at Mansion for 1 place, with several divisions competing.
It ain't over until it's over.

Richland League essentially replaced the old Windber League. Richland has their main gym and an Aux gym right next door.

I know many High Schools play in different college camps on the weekends,I think some High Schools host them too. PSU-Altoona,Juniata have all day "shootouts" that are pretty popular. Its like 4 games against teams from all over, gets you to see some new teams.

Totally agree regeunev, girls basketball is far superior to the boys in District 6 and there is some quality summer play on Mondays and Wednesdays at Hilltopper High.
