Let's get to know Joe!

Portage is well known for having great football at a small school. What's the town like during football season?
The town during football season is insane, Friday nights roll around and almost everyone is at the stadium.
Even at away games we have most of the town there supporting us.

Best wings in Portage? I know they have some good ones up there.

RD's without a doubt. Close to 400 wing flavors to choose from! My favorite flavor would have to be candy apple.

Tell us at least one reason why Coach Gouse is the man.

one word: Gousisms.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully finishing up college and maybe coming back to portage as a coach!

After a down year last year in Portage's standards, what can we expect from the Mustangs this year?

Last year was a disappointing year without a doubt and when our season ended at 4-5 that was in the heads of the whole team in the weight room as we prepared for next season. I can promise you will see a much stronger team and all I can say is we are going to surprise a lot of people.

Who has had the biggest impact on you as an athlete and why?
My mom probably has the biggest impact on me, she's always worked hard in taking care of me and my brother and doesn't complain. I try to mimic that in the weight room and on the field.

You have 10 bucks to spend at Sheetz, what are you buying?
A Faygo, nachos with cheese and chili, and 2 crispy chicken shnack wraps.

Tell the truth...Call Me Maybe comes on the radio. Do you know the words?
Every single one

What is something that most people don't know about you?
I'm a huge wwe fan
