Plenty of teams play "up"
Not sure if the Quips and Jeannette play up, or they are small AA Basketball schools.
Steel High is a "A" FOotball team, and they play AAA Basketball. They beat Johnstown in the state championship in 2004.

Konjo...it just cant be done. The piaa tries to have an even amount of schools in each classification. There are many more schools that field basketball teams that dont have football teams. For example, Harmony, Johnstown Christian, etc. Since most all the schools thathave bball teams that dont have fball teams are small schools, it makes single A very crowded. To even out the schools per classification the cutoff points are changed thus moving some schools up a class.konjo78 wrote:Thank you guys. I still think it should be for all sports.
