Port A vs Sharpsville

Post by tidesturning »

I think Port A wins and the Gators are a team I think has what it takes to beat Clairton! I believe that the Gators are going to be state finalists. We'll see but I think Bodamer and that offense has the right ingredients to be able to beat the mighty Bears.

I have not seen PA play or know anything about them, other than being undefeated. I believe they will beat Sharpsville, but why do you think they have any chance against Da Bears? How is their line, can you give any stats for the offense....how about the deffense? Beating Clairton is going to be a big task, for anyone this year. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see it happen.

They have a quarterback that can run and throw. He has thrown for over 9,000 yards in his career. He has several wideouts who post big numbers. A short, quick, precision passing game is what I think can beat and frustrate the Bears and that is what Port A does.

Thanks for the info. I agree, if you can get a short passing game going, it opens up so much more you can do on offense. The bigger question is, can Clairton's offense be stopped? I hope PA is up to the task (if they get by Sharpsville). With a little luck, maybe both our teams will meet up on December 14th in the state final. It would be nice to see a Port Allegheny/Bellwood state final game.

I wish PA all the luck in trying to knock off my Bears. All I gotta say is that the Gators better have a running game and a solid line or the D will just T off and Bodamer will be on his back a lot.

All due respect to PA but you guys aren't even in the same league as Clairton.

Now take into account that Bodamer won POY over Boyd and I see #23 coming out and having a career game.

I'm going to say Port will lose if they get to the western final. The kids from Pittsburgh have to much speed. Most people in regular season tried to play port 7-10 yards off with corners. Bodamer is good he has a natural talent at qb. But ports defense 99% of the time screams flow.
