Its athletic scholarship. They have super high requirements for them though.
Re: Recruitment (no I don't mean BM/BC/ or BG accusations) :
FACT: Harvard Athletics is the most comprehensive in the nation. There are 21 men’s and 20 women’s varsity and numerous junior varsity and club teams competing at the intercollegiate level, more than any other institution in the United States. There are numerous freshman dorm teams and House Intramural teams for upperclassmen, plus an extensive recreation program. Harvard teams in the past several years have been national champions or involved in national championship competition in a number of sports, including hockey, soccer, baseball, crew, swimming, tennis and squash. Harvard has been represented at all the Olympics of modern times, since 1896. There are Harvard graduates playing professional football, baseball, hockey, squash, and tennis. Harvard is very much interested in good athletes – if they meet the college’s academic standards. No athletic scholarships are awarded, but all students who are admitted will be provided appropriate financial assistance if needed, including athletes.

I THOUGHT there were NO athletic scholarships. So athletes at Harvard get the same APPROPRIATE financial aid as a computer geek. So what's with this Ferens being 80 points shy in his SAT's to get aid (to play sports). Ivy League schools are like the Army and Navy Academies. They have MINIMUM requirements for admission, WHETHER you play sports or not. They don't make requirements HARDER for athletes. IN fact, if there is a difference at all, wouldn't you think the requirements for athletes would be less?

Wow can't we just be happy danny is trying to get into a great school moldo? And to be honestly I think his requirements to get in and get aid are a lot easier than a normal student.

I'm happy for him. But let's not EMBELLISH the situation, alright?
